Carbonation of concretes containing LC³ cements with different supplementary materials

چکیده
Due to the clinkerization process during Portland cement production, large amounts of CO2 are emitted, increasing effects related climate change (approximately 5-10% global emissions come from production), consequently, seek for alternatives mitigate these high necessary. The use supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) partial replace Portand clinker/cement has been subject different research, including LC3 cements (Limestone Calcined Clay Cements), where up 50% clinker can be replaced, however, industry already used othersupplementary with pozzolanic activities in commercial cements. In this sense, work evaluates performance concretes containing mixtures presence SCM (silica fume, fly ash, sugarcane bagasse ash and açaí stone ash) regarding durability issues by carbonation. results showed that all presented higher carbonation fronts relation reference concrete, cement, due lower availability calcium react penetrates into concrete pores, so adoption curing procedures coatings recommended.

Progress of Carbonation in Chloride Contaminated Concretes
Concretes used in marine environment are generally under the cyclic effect of CO2 and chloride ions (Cl -). To date, the influence of carbonation on ingress of chloride ions in concretes has been widely studied; in comparison, study on the influence of Clon the progress of carbonation is limited. During the study, concretes were exposed to independent and combined mechanisms of carbonation and ...

Both phases form after mixing a viscous paste that after being implanted, sets and hardens within the body as either a non-stoichiometric calcium deficient hydroxyapatite (CDHA) or brushite, sometimes blended with unr...
